The ultimate goal of Powerhouse is to inspire, empower and connect dancers age 17 and up through DANCE. We want to give you the outlet and opportunity to express yourself through dance, in a welcoming, supportive atmosphere. Jenny is a native of South Jersey, where she lives with her son and husband. In addition to choreographing and teaching for Powerhouse Dance, Jenny has recently been a guest choreographer/teacher for the Drexel University Dance Team, the Philadelphia Soulmates, Shawnee High School\'s Dance Team (Medford, New Jersey), Pennsport School of Dance, Dancing with the Cherry Hill Stars, & Flex Force Training. Jenny began training when she was 9 years old at Today\'s Dance Center in Medford, New Jersey, focusing on ballet and jazz. As a teen, she attended summer intensive ballet programs at Ballet Met in Ohio, and Virginia School of the Arts. During high school Jenny moved to Naples, Florida and became a member and co-captain of her high school\'s dance team and dance line.While attending the University of Florida, Jenny was co-captain of the Dazzlers Dance Team and was a member of and choreographer for the Floridance dance company. At this time she also took master classes from world renowned choreographers such as Brian Friedman, Cris Judd, Lauriann Gibson, Wade Robson, and Shane Sparks at various dance conventions.After graduating with a masters degree in accounting, Jenny moved to New York City to pursue a career in accounting. While working, Jenny continued training at Broadway Dance Center.After 5 years in New York City and 2 years in Philadelphia, Jenny relocated back to South Jersey to be closer to family. In 2017, Jenny decided to pursue her passion for dance and share it with others by creating Powerhouse Dance. Jenny has always felt her most powerful, happy, and strong self while dancing. She wants to share the same feeling with you, and hopes you will join her in class!

ABOUT JENNY DE TORE
Jenny is a native of South Jersey, where she lives with her son and husband. She founded Powerhouse Dance, a dance company devoted to providing dance classes to adult dancers of all levels, in 2017. In addition to running Powerhouse Dance, Jenny is also a lululemon Ambassador. Additionally, she has been a Guest Choreographer for several dance teams and organizations including: Drexel University Dance Team, the Philadelphia Soulmates, TCNJ, Rowan University, Shawnee High School\'s Dance Team (Medford, New Jersey), Pennsport School of Dance, Dancing with the Cherry Hill Stars, & Flex Force Training. Jenny has also been a Guest Judge for the Miss Delaware competition (part of the Miss America Organization), as well as for dance team auditions for the National Lacross League\'s Philadelphia Wings Dancers and Drexel University Dance Team. Jenny began training when she was 9 years old at Today\'s Dance Center in Medford, New Jersey, focusing on ballet and jazz. As a teen, she attended summer intensive ballet programs at Ballet Met in Ohio, and Virginia School of the Arts. After 5 years in New York City and 2 years in Philadelphia, Jenny relocated back to South Jersey to be closer to family and made a career change into residential real estate. In 2017, Jenny decided to pursue her passion for dance and share it with others by creating Powerhouse Dance. In 2019, Jenny stopped working in real estate and focused on Powerhouse full time. Jenny has always felt her most powerful, happy, and strong self while dancing. She wants to share that same feeling with her clients. Her mission with Powerhouse is to connect, inspire and empower people through dance.
