ABOUT JENN WELLS

I’m a connector, strategist, and culture-builder who has spent nearly two decades leading transformative change in education, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations. At the heart of my work is a simple belief: everyone deserves to belong.Today, I serve as Chief of Staff for Alumni Engagement at UCLA, where I bring together five distinct teams to move as one. My role is about alignment and momentum — making sure our alumni engagement strategies are not only ambitious, but also inclusive, equitable, and deeply connected to UCLA’s mission.With a doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership, I understand the realities of resistance and the challenges of change management. What excites me is guiding teams through that complexity — turning silos into collaboration, ideas into impact, and communities into movements.Outside of the strategy work, I love coaching leaders and facilitating learning experiences on equity, inclusive leadership, and organizational capacity. My approach blends strategy with compassion: I push for bold results, while also making sure people feel seen, valued, and supported along the way.I’m always looking to connect with people and organizations who are passionate about equity, inclusion, and transformational leadership.
