About Jennings Roth Cornet
Roth Cornet is a content leader and executive with over a decade of experience working in production, entertainment publishing, and digital marketing. As the VP of Content at Fandom and its subsidiary brands ScreenJunkies, Cortex, and D&D Beyond, she led the development and execution of a content strategy rooted in data. In addition to creating KPIs tied directly to company level goals, she directed an Emmy-nominated creative team to double revenue contribution in the span of 3 years. As a proven leader of creative strategy, Roth led production on a wide swath of content types, including award-winning short and feature films, episodic and narrative podcasts, and brand-centric events, editorial, social and digital media content. She has worked as a critic, journalist, host, and creator for companies ranging from AMC Theatres, NBC Universal, IGN, In Contention, and Hitfix; interviewing hundreds of celebrities and filmmakers from Will Smith to Ridley Scott. Additionally, she has made appearances as an industry expert on outlets such as NPR, BBC, Inside Edition, FOX, and THR. Roth began her career in NYC where she trained as an actress at the prestigious William Esper Studio and worked in film, theater, and television. After beginning her college career at NYU, she transferred to Loyola Marymount University to complete her film degree. While there, she worked as an associate producer for documentary films. By the time she was a senior she had directed actor Martin Sheen in national PSAs, become a member of the Dean\'s advisory board, the Kodak international student advisory board, and the academic honor society, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA, and co-produced a documentary feature that went on to screen at the Cannes film market and win two Telly awards. Her narrative short film Muse won the prestigious Princess Grace Award and Grant. With that grant she traveled to the Middle East to direct her own documentary short. Upon graduation, Roth continued her work as a freelance writer, producer, and director, ultimately working in marketing and acquisitions for an international documentary distribution company where she acquired films such as Operation Homecoming, which went on to be nominated for an Academy Award. Subsequently, she went on to work as a producer for commercials and DVD features for films and television shows produced by every major studio. Roth is a certified critic on Rotten Tomatoes, and former TCA member.
