I currently teach English 10 (on-level and Honors/Pre-AP), Creative Writing and Film as Literature. I create engaging units aligned to Arkansas state standards that utilize high-quality instructional materials, scaffolded instruction, and opportunities for student voice and collaboration. I work with a Professional Learning Community to regularly analyze student data that informs instruction and intervention, differentiate for learner needs, and provide meaningful feedback that helps students grow as readers, writers, and thinkers. I have experience teaching English IV and ELA Drama as well. As a Student Council Advisor, I coordinate student leadership development through weekly meetings, officer training, and team-building initiatives. I organize large-scale events such as pep rallies, spirit weeks, community service projects, and school-wide fundraisers. I mentor students on project planning, communication, and ethical decision-making, helping them grow as leaders in both their school and broader community.My role requires strong communication, collaboration with faculty and administration, and a deep commitment to student empowerment. I strive every day to create a safe, respectful, and inspiring environment where students can learn, lead, and thrive.
