About Jennifer Sponzilli

For more than 27 years, I was a tax attorney at KPMG, providing advice on tax operations, compliance and planning to financial services clients. While I have had many leadership roles in my tenure at KPMG, my focus has always been on understanding my clients’ businesses in order to better serve them. In addition providing tax advice, I helped Chief Tax Officers to develop their strategy, including optimizing their operating model, integrating technology, and attracting talent. Now, in retirement, I look back on my time with KPMG fondly, having developed strong connections with colleagues and clients around the globe.

   Since returning to the US practice from London five years ago, my focus has moved to the global lead tax partner role for KPMG\'s largest financial services clients. In that role, of course, I provide tax advice, but also Chief Tax Officer strategy assistance, including efficient department operating models, integration of technology building on finance initiatives, and governance frameworks to manage tax risk. My prior roles at KPMG include leading KPMG\'s automatic exchange of information network of more than 500 people globally and growing the London US tax practice as the office managing partner there.
