ABOUT JENNIFER RAJASEKAR

From poetry to prose, from classrooms to literary communities, my journey is shaped by a deep curiosity about the power of words and the stories they carry. Hello, I’m Jennifer, a writer, poet, and literary researcher currently studying Creative Writing at Nottingham Trent University. My work explores human emotion, cultural memory, and the ways literature travels across time, language, and performance.Alongside my studies, I work as a Book Doctor at Nottingham Trent University. I am also proud to serve as a panel member for the UNESCO Nottingham City of Literature’s Big City Reads programme, contributing to conversations that bring literature closer to communities and readers across the city.My creative practice spans poetry, fiction, scriptwriting, and lyric writing. I have written lyrics for Tamil songs and have delivered guest lectures on lyric writing, exploring the relationship between music, poetry, and storytelling. Beyond writing, I enjoy combining literature with visual storytelling through illustration, photography, and design, allowing words and images to speak together.Previously, I served as President of the Literary and Debating Association in the Department of English, where I had the privilege of leading literary initiatives and fostering creative dialogue among students.At heart, I believe literature is both an art and a bridge, connecting cultures, voices, and experiences. I’m always eager to collaborate with writers, artists, publishers, and literary organisations who share a passion for storytelling and creative exploration.Let’s connect and continue the conversation through words.
