About Jen Miosi
Graduate from the University of Louisville Speed School of Engineering with a Bachelors and Masters in Electrical Computer Engineering. Held numerous co-op positions through GE - Aviation in the Product Integration Center helping test and develop commercial aircraft engine software while attending college at the University of Louisville. Participated in GE\'s Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) allowing for additional on the job coursework and rotational assignments. First assignment was in Commercial Engine Software. Second and third rotational assignments were in the Commercial Diagnostics and Prognostic Health Management (PHM) team as a designer for Commercial Engine Vibration Monitoring algorithms. Maintained a position as Lead Engineer/Technologist for the Commercial Engine Prognostic Health Management team, focused heavily on Engine Vibration Monitoring algorithms and design for several NPI programs. Advanced to Senior Staff Engineer for GE Aviation to support PHM integration and algorithm development for Military aircraft engines. Promoted to Senior Staff Product Security Leader and Engineer for GE Aviation Engines, focused on maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our engine product lines.Promoted to Director of Cybersecurity for GE Aviation, responsible for maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all engine product lines, in addition to focusing on the strategy and ownership of our third party supply chain Cybersecurity risk management.Most recently moved from GE Aviation to United Airlines as their Director for Aircraft Cybersecurity Operations, including ownership of the cybersecurity relationship between United Mainline and their United Express Partner airlines. In this role, I am responsible for integrating across United’s operational teams and digital technology teams for all aspects of cybersecurity pertaining to the aircraft, pilots, crew, or the flying public. My passion is to ensure a safe and secure flight for all customers - to lift them up and bring them home safely.
