ABOUT JENNIFER MACCARONE

I have committed myself to the creation of positive relationships, building trust, and collaborating with strategic partners that enable the organizations and people I represent to grow and meet their goals. As a devoted community member, I work hard to promote the values of those I represent, ensure their needs are addressed, and help them thrive.I am a staunch supporter of the role of local, democratically elected representatives and believe that everyone’s voice should be heard. I am deeply passionate about all matters related to education, language and minority rights, youth retention, and access to health and social services. I try to lead through example, actively listen, transparently address concerns, and capitalize on every opportunity possible to highlight the strengths and relevance of those I represent. My goal has always been, and will continue to be, to showcase the successes and achievements that are a result of our collaborative efforts as a community, and to ensure our rights are maintained.As Member of the Quebec National Assembly representing the riding of Westmount—Saint-Louis, I have the esteemed privilege of bringing the voice of my citizens to Quebec City and fighting for the rights of my community.My experiences and background in the education milieu vary from parent volunteer and advocate, to an elected community representative and political influencer. I have had the privilege to represent our community as a Chair of Governing Board, Chair of Parents’ Committee, Chair of Special Needs Advisory Committee, Chair of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board and President of the Quebec English School Boards Association.
