About Jennifer Linton
Creative Jennifer Linton is an artist and maker by way of design inspired by nature and geometry. Color and form are explored in a variety of mediums, primarily fiber. As a naturalist, inspiration comes from nature’s beauty, diversity, and lessons in abundance. As an environmentalist, she is driven to point out that we are losing the world as we know it, living a “modern” life that is detached, distracted, and human-centric. Works seek to encapsulate and exult our natural world with more permanence. Interconnected relationships and human-built systems, which invariably and drastically affect the natural world, are often underlying themes. One should question: “Why don’t we build to sustain and harmonize as one interconnected community on this rare and awe-inspiring planet?” Visual experimentation may leap to new mediums where her truest works are yet to emerge.
