I am a natural advocate: I see injustice and seek solutions that honor people and strengthen communities.With 20 years’ experience in a number of social service settings and 10+ years in leadership; most of my work has focused on women\'s health, safety and financial empowerment and working with the Latinx community. I have a proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional community partnerships with a variety of colleagues, organizations, and agencies; I thrive in a collaborative environment.I am highly organized with excellent attention to detail, strong time-management, and amazing ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.I am committed to racial and social justice. I foster a team environment with a spirit of continuous learning and a lens of social justice in our work and encourage staff to examine how privilege and oppression affect our clients, how systemic and structural racism and oppressions affect our work, how our own agency and program may participate in such systems, and what our role is in dismantling these systems.

Our mission is to advance financial empowerment through partnerships that support access to affordable, effective, and relevant services, products, and other resources.Our initiatives include:Integration of Financial Empowerment in programs and services-Professional development financial workshops-Training and TA for providers-WA Financial Coaching Network events-Access to on-demand resources and tools via our websiteBank On Washington: connecting un- and under-banked individuals and communities to safe, affordable and accessible financial services-Working with financial institutions to increase financial access -Outreach to nonprofit partners to connect them with financial institution partners-Networking and training events including our annual Bank On Washington forum-Supporting the work of local Bank On coalitions across the state-Youth-Led Bank On Seattle/King County initiativeWashington Asset Building Coalition-Leadership and support for local asset-building coalitions across WA-Participation in asset-building related legislative education, outreach and advocacy-Homeownership and foreclosure prevention workgroup and resources-Free Tax Preparation, Earned Income Tax Credit and Working Families Tax Credit outreach and supportSince 2006, we have provided support and technical assistance to direct service providers offering financial wellness programs, products, and services for un- and under-banked, low-income, and historically marginalized individuals and communities. We work with partners across sectors, increasing their own financial knowledge, access to financial tools, connection to existing resources and confidence in their ability to support their clients’ financial wellbeing.
