Starting as a publications specialist, I moved my way up to a social media manager/staff writer and now a content administrator at a non-profit organization, Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). Previously, I was a communications editor at Allured Business Media and a freelance reporter for 22nd Century Media. Prior to these roles, I was a temp at Northwestern University, while also freelancing with a public relation\'s firm, JPriego Communications. After graduating with a BS, I worked as a blogger and assistant for a wedding studio, helping design content for its website and blog and managed emails. Meanwhile, I also started assisting a photography studio. Shortly after, I worked as an administrative assistant for a successful public affairs firm, Resolute Consulting. While I completed nearly my entire bachelor\'s of science degree at Illinois State University, I chose to finalize my undergraduate career in Florence, Italy at Lorenzo de\' Medici. I was a journalism news editorial major in the School of Communication as well as a writing minor with a concentration in rhetoric and composition in the English Department.During my time at ISU, I worked as a news reporter, a supplement editor and an intern for the school newspaper, The Vidette. I was also an active member of Public Relations Student Society of America and was the director of the Relations committee, where we wrote and created newsletters, videos and blogs. Over the summer before my senior year at ISU, I was a social media and journalism intern for Fashion Chicago Magazine and a PR/marketing intern for The Momsay.
