I am a genetic counseling graduate student (Class of 2026) with extensive clinical training in hereditary cancer and prenatal genetics, and a strong interest in academic faculty and industry roles that integrate clinical expertise, education, and cross-functional collaboration.My clinical experience includes hereditary cancer risk assessment, test selection, results interpretation, and medical management discussions using NCCN guidelines and validated risk models across multiple hospital systems. I have worked extensively with patients and healthcare providers by phone and in person, including individuals with active cancer diagnoses, known familial variants, and complex psychosocial needs.I bring experience in research, scientific communication, and education. I am currently writing a first-author manuscript examining demographic and psychosocial factors in genomic decision-making, and I have presented my thesis research at the National Society of Genetic Counselors Annual Conference. I have also designed and delivered educational programs for adult learners, healthcare-adjacent professionals, and international graduate students.Prior to entering genetic counseling, I built a career in education and digital communication, collaborating with cross-functional teams on content development, training initiatives, and strategic messaging. This background informs my approach to medical information work, allowing me to communicate complex genetic concepts clearly while supporting organizational goals.I am particularly interested in roles that combine patient- and provider-facing genetics with internal collaboration, training development, research initiatives, and product or program support.
