ABOUT JEN BROOK
Bid Management combines two things I love: helping and winning. In my role, I can help a team of sales, technical and operational experts plan and execute a professional proposal and, often, enjoy being part of the winning team. Since entering the world of bids and proposals, I’ve not only learned and refined several critical skills for success, such as content writing, editing, clear communication, time management and strategy planning, but formalised my experience by achieving Foundation and Practitioner certifications with the industry’s professional body, the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP). These are skills that I continue to develop by attending regular seminars and referencing educational publications.In my current role, I’ve been fortunate to work on proposals for a variety of corporate customers, built and deepened my understanding of public sector bidding conventions, and won national and international multi-million pound deals. When I’m not working, I enjoy rambling and reading. My favourite recent read was ‘Medieval Bodies: Life, Death and Art in the Middle Ages’ by Jack Hartnell – get in touch and tell me yours.
