Produce, correct, preflight and output appropriate final files for both offset and digital presses• Adapt, proof, package and output final files for ebooks, including ensuring proper compliance with accessibility standards• Manage and protect final assets including file creation, updating and archiving of source files and marketing assets for third-party dissemination• Quote appropriate print specifications and communicate any alterations as the project evolves, complete purchase orders, coordinate product delivery and process job invoices• Develop work-back schedules and work closely with domestic and international vendors to ensure on-time delivery of print jobs• Maintain colour management workflow, including soft-proofing station calibration and internal implementation of third-party ICC colour profiles, application settings and print devices• Authored the company’s first ever Production Guidelines to ensure that work is completed in a consistent and standardized manner across the department. Major goals were to improve efficiency, facilitate onboarding and training, and ensure proper compliance and risk management.• Currently working on Designer Guidelines to create a evolving document of best practices, power-user tips and tricks, and documentation of highly complex file requirements. Major goals are to share professional level print production knowledge with internal and external design professionals, to provide excellent trouble-shooting tips to increase efficiency and to provide an inspiring reference resource. Includes a complete Colour Management section—from an introduction to the concept, to visual examples of issues that may arise, as well as documentation of a repeatable process for colour correction.
