About Jen Maki
I’m a Ph.D. economist with deep experience advising clients across the healthcare and life sciences sectors. My work focuses on evaluating market demand, both current and projected, along with competition, pricing, and strategy. I serve as a testifying expert focusing on damages and liability related economic analysis, including rigorous evaluation of causation, but-for forecasting, pricing and market-share modeling, and the commercial reasonableness of business projections. I have testified in U.S. federal and state courts and in international arbitration.I have also led numerous complex assessments for private equity and corporate clients, helping them understand how well a company’s products or services meet the needs of its customers and how those dynamics are likely to evolve.In both settings, disputes and commercial consulting, I aim to bring structure to complex problems, connecting data, context, and logic to provide insight. My academic research has focused on behavior, policy, and healthcare markets, and has been published in journals including the Southern Economic Journal and the International Journal of Drug Policy.
