As Merck’s General Counsel, I serve as the chief legal advisor to the company and set the strategy for the global legal team. I also lead our Environment, Health & Safety organization, which steers the company’s efforts to meet or exceed its responsibilities to employees and the broader stakeholder community, and our Global Security organization. I strive to lead my team in a way that ensures our company’s actions are always consistent with the strong values and high ethical standards that have characterized Merck since its inception in 1891. My passions are protecting and promoting the public health, enhancing environmental sustainability, maximizing inclusiveness – in all its forms – and continuing to grow our world-class pro bono program, which has benefited countless people in need over its 25-plus years.
