ABOUT JENNIFER YOUNG
I am an advocate for professional development and leadership within PhiloWilke. Early in my tenure, I envisioned the mentoring program at our firm, lobbying Partner and staff support, and eventually bringing it to inception in 2012. Now as a Partner, I oversee the responsibility of Staff Development and HR / Personnel and continue to champion of our firm\'s collaborative culture. Providing \"conscientious advocacy\" is my personal anthem and inspiring other leaders in our firm has become my highest purpose. After exploring a profession within Veterinary Medicine, I transitioned to the world of Architecture in 2002. I graduated from the University of Houston\'s Gerald D. Hines School of Architecture, receiving a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 2007. Go COOGS! I joined PhiloWilke in May of 2007, after completing an internship at a residential firm that specializes in sustainable architecture. Within my tenure at PhiloWilke, I have been heavily involved in all project design phases including planning, design, construction documentation, and construction administration. I have held many project roles for healthcare and science/ tech research projects, most recently as the Partner in Charge and Senior Project Manager. My portfolio of work experience includes work for Memorial Hermann Health System (all campuses), Saint Francis Health System (Tulsa, OK), the Houston Zoo, Emerus, CHI St. Luke\'s Brazosport, BSA Health System (Amarillo)/ ER on Soncy Group, University of Houston, Texas A&M University, MD Anderson Cancer System, and Methodist Hospital. I am a Registered Architect in the State of Texas, an AIA member, and a registered member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). My hobbies include outdoor activities, such as gardening, camping, bird/ nature watching, and BBQing. I enjoy sporting events and playing games with my family.
