The Vice President of Finance and System Controller (VP) oversees accounting operations, gathering, and analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports and serves as a financial advisor to the Senior Leadership team for financial reporting purposes. The VP is responsible for oversight of audit, tax, bond and financial reporting, corporate accounting, accounts payable, payroll and treasury management for all entities within the System. The VP is also responsible for maintaining appropriate internal controls to safeguard the assets of the System and for communicating financial results to the Senior Leadership team.The VP translates strategies into actionable initiatives that produce results that align with established goals to create and sustain operational excellence for the System that are aligned with the mission, vision and values. The VP ensures that policies, procedures and practices are operationalized to support safe, reliable care and fosters a continuous learning culture by building the organizational structure, talent, and other capabilities to implement and operate in a manner that is consistent with ECU Health expectations. The VP employs methods of change management to advance the organization by using tools, business processes, and operational practices to positively reshape ECU Health. The VP selects, engages and develops leaders, inclusive of performance management, professional development and succession planning. Further, the VP is directly responsible for an effective team of financial professionals with an emphasis on teamwork, collaboration and transparency, the provision of high-quality services, and effective planning and reporting.
