ABOUT JENNIFER WOODS
Enrolled in a rigorous cybersecurity bootcamp with a solid foundation in essential cybersecurity concepts, tools, and practices. Passionate about securing digital environments and committed to pursuing a dynamic career in the cybersecurity field. Possess a strong aptitude for learning, adaptability, and a dedication to staying current with the latest industry trends and threats. Interested in information security awareness programs and communications, discovered a passion for writing reports, and continual learning. I love to knit. Every project I start I have the same goal to learn something new. Learning a new stitch, how to make a garment, how to block, or how to decipher a pattern. Sometimes it takes me three skeins of yarn to really understand the pattern on the blanket I’m working on, and I love that “ah ha” moment where everything clicks and I no longer need to look at the pattern to know where I am and where I am going. I’m a former English teacher. I learned a lot and I taught a lot. I loved lesson planning and working with kids. I loved that everyday I had structure and knew what the layout of my day was going to be. When I left that career it took me a long time to stop lesson planning in my head everyday. I transitioned over to Tucson Electric Power and have had many roles. All of my roles have been customer service focused for both external and internal customers. I love connecting with people, solving problems, process improvement and teaching others. I am starting a career in cyber security and I\'m having similar experiences with it and knitting. I am learning so much. I have “ah ha” moments all the time. I love the pattern of things. I enjoy learning about access management, cloud security, Wireshark, and Python to name a few. This career path offers me an opportunity to always be learning and feel a sense of purpose that what I do matters.
