I knew I wanted to be an attorney in 2003, after becoming a paralegal on a 2-year break from undergrad. Despite being awarded a biological engineering fellowship and having a lifelong interest in science and agriculture, I knew engineering wasn\'t a combine science and my love of words in a legal career! I love my diverse practice, which has included an enormous range of work, including-representing FDIC as receiver for a collapsed bank brought down by a fraudulent bond scheme -defending a 3rd premises owner in a police 1983 (police fatality)-drafting a MDL complaint on behalf of banks harmed by a hacking scheme at a nationwide retailer-catastrophic fire loss subrogation defense (action between insurance carriers)-defended a jury trial involving a contract mail carrier trucking accident-lead negotiator in a multi-million dollar settlement over a breach of contract for will action-developed a semester-long curriculum and taught the economics of antitrust law to law students at National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan at National Ch (one of Taiwan\'s most prestigious universities)-drafted the current Arkansas statute on animal cruelty, now a felony -assisting public officials with PR, understanding the law, or preventing -brought a qui tam whistleblower claim under the False Claims Act -Successfully assisting an electric regional transmission organization with a FERC audit (preparation, during and follow up)- Assisted pharmaceutical patent attorneys as litigation counsel in patent prosecution -bankruptcy (creditor and debtor)-national/international class actions -Medical device liability defense -landlord\'s liability defense, ejectment and recover -representing Arkansas peanut farmers in a dispute with an agricultural conglomerate over a threatened breach of contract action -represented teachers and education workers under The Teacher Fair Dismissal Act and licensing board representation -much, much more!
