ABOUT JENNIFER WARD

I formerly worked as the Assistant Program Director of an adult partial care in Hamilton NJ, serving the persistent and chronically mentally ill. The main responsibilities of this position were; supervising the clinical team, maintaining records for Medicaid and NJDMS, conducting meetings with external parties, maintaining QA records, completing intake of consumers, over seeing chart audits, assigning therapeutic groups based upon individual needs, prevocation counseling.I also completed my Illness Management and Recovery certification while employed here. This offered individuals the opportunity of managing their own recovery through 12 different modules. I can proudly say that I was promoted into the Assistant Director position from the Program Supervisor position at this facility after two years Prior to this, my previous experience was with early childhood trauma and teen pregnancy. This offered me the opportunity to expierence teenage women going through reunification or adoption processes with their children and what that looked like to them.This came with peer perceptions that were often problematic within the house as well.The sources of therapy offered were behavioral modification, substance abuse, drug and alcohol detox, adolescent drug rehabilitation, psychiatric medication assistance DBT, CBT social therapy, and psychodynamic therapy Prior to that I worked at New Hope Foundation in Marlboro working with both adolescent and adults and substance abuse disorders. This involved me working with detox and also assisting in group facilitating. I completed intakes of new parties coming in as well as checked qualifying insurances.I completed regular drug screens and checks of items when returning from furloughed trips.I often communicated with external parties such as support coordinators and CMOs to and probation to ensure proper care was handed. I completed clinical documentation of UIR, both internal and external, progress notes, treatment plans, continued stays,assessments and authorization needs Currently completing my internship in Clinical Social Work where I meet 1:1 telehealth with clients and hold 45 minute weekly sessions where my title as a therapist is held in a high regard and there is the ability to further assist in case management and referrals to company resources where needed. I meet with my clinical entity once weekly to report issues and discuss any clinical occurrences. I currently work at the Rescue Mission of Trenton as an IOP therapist, and at Millhill IOP family services as an Adult and a Youth therapist
