ABOUT JENNIFER WADE

I am an impact assessment practitioner who, for the last ten or so years, has specialised in health and social assessments. I have undertaken assessments for population and human health for several EIA projects including to accompany DCO applications for nationally significant infrastructure projects. I have also conducted rapid Health Impact Assessments, Social Impact Assessments, Equality Impact Assessments and sustainability appraisals. My background is in over twenty years of the coordination and management of environmental assessment projects, including Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA). My experience covers a range of public and private sector clients in the UK, including land development, highway, renewable energy, gas infrastructure, civil nuclear and flood alleviation schemes. As an EIA coordinator I am not afraid to challenge the contributions of environmental discipline specialists with the aim of achieving clearer and more concise documents that can be understood by the public as well as statutory decision-makers.I am able to apply various tools and techniques such as GIS and mapping, diagrammatic presentation and can interpret quantitative and qualitative data in order to present environmental information and assess environmental effects.I am a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), Full Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (MIEMA) and currently an Associate of the Faculty of Public Health.
