ABOUT JENNIFER VILLANUEVA
My name is Jennifer Villanueva, and I am a forth year QuestBridge Scholar at Vanderbilt University from Houston, TX. I received a full ride scholarship to pursue my BA in Environmental Sociology with a minor in Business. I specialize in analyzing the intricate interplay between societal and environmental factors. My goal is to seamlessly integrate these insights into professional settings, contributing a valuable blend of sociological depth and business expertise to drive positive change and responsible practices. Currently, I am a Research Assistant for the Solar and Wind Farm Opposition Project at Vanderbilt, where I work on developing case studies of solar farm opposition in the US, using data entry and qualitative research skills. As well as a sustainability intern for Vanderbilt’s Sustainability and Environmental Management Office. Previously, I was a Peer Mentor at Project Safe, leading educational student info sessions on violence prevention and victim advocacy, and a Research Assistant at Tate\'s Bake Shop, presenting research and suggestions for Corporate Social Responsibility pillars to the CEO and the marketing and research team. Through these experiences, I have demonstrated my abilities in project development, community outreach, social media management, and presentation skills, as well as my values of sustainability, social justice, and innovation.
