About Jennifer Vasil

I\'ve worn several different hats over my career, but these have been my through lines: First: I love helping people and organizations perform better, mainly through training. Writing, sales, database management, aerobics - I\'ve coached a lot of people on a lot of things. I\'m data driven and enjoy tweaking the courses I create to ensure better learner performance by using a variety of assessment and survey results. Second: I really love building things. All aspects of project management get me fired up – synthesizing the needs of different stakeholders into a unified scope, plotting the intricacies of the workflow, anticipating roadblocks and adjusting plans, finally launching that product or event and conducting the post mortem. I’ve managed projects and built programs for schools, nonprofits, and retail. While I enjoy the training that makes up much of my work, my real passion lies in bringing a project from zero to one. Now, I’ve been a sci-fi fan since I can remember. I came of age in the era of dial-up and chat rooms. Before Facebook existed, I had published my master’s thesis on hypertext as a composition medium for struggling writers. The advancements in technology I’ve seen continue to expand my belief in what humans are capable of creating, both for good and ill. In my life, I strive to champion the former and call critical attention to the latter. As I look to my future, I want to synthesize these through lines at the intersection of project and program management in tech. I want to help dismantle barriers to access so everyone feels welcome in digital spaces and understands how to leverage their resources to optimize and scale what they\'re doing, be they individuals, small business owners, even large corporations.

   Lead training and enablement for 250+ AWS services and solutions for an audience of over 38.1K customer-facing sales and tech roles worldwide, requiring content coordination with over 120 subject matter experts across Product Marketing, AWS Worldwide Specialist Organization, and service teams- Led and assisted development of five generative AI-focused trainings in H2 2023 with a 4.7/5 average CSAT- Reduced net-new course development time 58% by creating replicable content gathering process for Learning Experience Designers- Developed strategy to reduce required sales onboarding training time 7% in the first 90 days by consolidating two separate L100 trainings covering approved messaging for nine AWS service categories and over 65 individual AWS services- Reduced program multimedia development expenses by almost $50K through leveraging internal design resources
