About Jennifer Stady
Founded in Laundry is a creative design studio in Portland, Oregon specializing in print and pattern design, illustration and graphic design. The firm sees each project as an opportunity to find new ways of listening, seeing and exploring the world. The studio’s style is bold, experimental and modern. The natural and urban beauty around the world is a constant source of inspiration. Laundry’s work has been applied to apparel, home furnishings and specialized environments for local, national and global clients.As an artist, designer and educator, I see patterns in the natural world as visual poems that nourish and inspire. Understanding ourselves and the world in which we live is the key to making visual connections through art. As a creative director with decades of experience in graphic design, I strive to connect the audience with the natural and urban landscape through abstract patterns and design. Our work at Laundry tells visual narratives when applied to print, fabric, canvas, metal, glass and more. I am also adjunct faculty in graphic design at Portland State University and I also work with students at Madison High School in Portland as a visiting artist.
