About Jennifer Soave Rupnarain
My name is Jennifer Rupnarain, I currently have eleven years of experience with ExxonMobil and serve as a Control Systems Engineer in our central engineering organization. I am also the lead engineer for Wireless and Subsystem integration. Prior to this position, I was the Control Systems Emerging Technologies Lead in Spring, TX. I researched and contributed to the design of future computing platforms for the distributed control systems environment. Before becoming the Control Systems Emerging Technologies Lead, I was the Electrical Engineering Supervisor in Baytown, TX. I managed approximately 18 Electrical Engineers including performance and career development. I also served as the engineering lead for both Oil Movements and Docks Refinery Business Teams to help identify engineering resource problems and solutions. Before becoming a supervisor, I worked with the Control Systems Engineering section in Baytown as a group lead and individual contributor. I have extensive knowledge in Honeywell Experion and TDC Control Systems. Also, I have lead Control Systems projects including TDC and Mechanical Monitoring obsolescence as well as Green-Field Honeywell Experion installation for plant expansion. Working for ExxonMobil has provided opportunities to expand both my technical and interpersonal skills as an Electrical Engineer. After my eleven years of experience at ExxonMobil, I have realized that I would like to pursue a future career path in technical leadership as it aligns with my strengths and passion to develop new technologies in the control systems area along with and coaching younger control systems engineers to become the future leaders.
