ABOUT JENNIFER SMITH MAGUIRE
I am the Interim Executive Dean of the College of Business, Technology and Engineering at Sheffield Hallam University. Responsible for overall strategic and academic leadership of the College, I am committed to excellence across our taught portfolio, partnerships and networks, and research, innovation and knowledge exchange, and to championing a strong interrelationship between these domains so that the university serves as an engine of positive social and economic benefit.Previously, I was the Associate Dean for Research, Innovation, and Knowledge Exchange (RIKE) for the College of Business, Technology and Engineering, Sheffield Hallam University. I remain a passionate advocate for RIKE as intertwined, mutually reinforcing activities and ideas, and am deeply committed to developing research cultures that are inclusive, inspiring, interdisciplinary, and impact-oriented.I am a sociologist, and an interdisciplinary scholar specialising in the socio-cultural study of consumer culture and cultural intermediaries. My research focuses on the construction of markets, tastes and value, primarily in relation to wine. Please note that I do not keep a regular eye on LinkedIn; if you want to get in touch, please email!
