As an HR-Business Partner, I contribute to the IOM Talent Management process cycle and focus on the enhancement of the functional and technical components of the job architecture within the US Refugee Admissions Program and other resettlement and movement operation programmes under the Department of Emergencies. In this capacity, I develop strategic HR management initiatives, provide input to job architecture and career mobility frameworks and provide advice and support to managers in all aspects of talent management processes and workforce planning. I currently have a particular focus on staffing, staff training, career development and performance management. This includes designing and delivering training packages, establishing a roster of skilled staff for rapid deployment, proposing staff movements in relation to upsizing and downsizing, restructuring projects, providing change management support, facilitating recruitment and selection, and supporting managers in establishing key performance indicators within their areas of work.
