ABOUT JENNIFER RAVELLETTE-BARRETT
Many years of my career have been devoted to working with victims of sexual and physical abuse. As I entered my 16th year in law enforcement, I knew that I wanted to continue to spend the second half of my professional life serving people. However, I wanted to do so in a different fashion. I made the decision to return to school and major in social work. I graduated with Honors from Indiana Wesleyan University with a Bachelor\'s Degree in Addictions Counseling. I have been honored to have the opportunity to train with some very talented therapist\'s as part of my educational requirements. My practicum sites were diverse and offered a variety of optimum learning lessons. My objective is to continue my education and obtain a Master\'s Degree, and ultimately a PhD in Forensic Psychology. I desire to work with any individual who finds that they are struggling with an addiction, trauma, relationship issue, or someone who is simply experiencing difficulty handling the stress of life. My passion and dream is to utilize my years and experience in law enforcement, and integrate the discipline of social work, in order to work with first responders, public service employees, and members of the United States Military. I have firsthand knowledge of the traumas, stressors, relationship difficulties, and culture that law enforcement and first responders experience. I understand the emotional issues and apprehension that arise when determining to seek professional assistance. I want to provide an atmosphere where all concerns of seeking treatment are addressed and easily overcome. I was blessed to have found a therapist who was able to help me find peace, and I want to be able to give that same gift to others.
