ABOUT JENNIFER P.
After 32 years in the corporate world, I\'m pivoting to one-on-one consulting for older adults and their families. As an Aging and Transitions Consultant, I offer decades of hands-on legal and HR experience along with compassionate advocacy to help navigate the complex logistics of Aging in Place. The Evolution of Golden Guidance In April 2025, I completed a 10-year milestone in HR with ESI. The next month, our workforce was acquired and several positions were eliminated; mine included. This provided the space for me to visualize and create Golden Guidance.In April 2015, I began building my HR career with ESI while simultaneously navigating the sudden loss of my husband. Steve died in December 2014, after a catastrophic year of job and health insurance loss plus a flood that claimed irreplaceable childhood memories. Our savings were depleted, but he had started a great new job; everything would be ok. Until it wasn\'t. I lost my sister, then my dad, 3 years later. Experiencing multiple losses within 5 years, having no bandwidth to process more than the tragic death of my husband, and needing to stay successfully employed or lose everything left me in survival mode. As Yoda said,\"Do or do not, there is no try.\" My inspiration was our teenage son. The fuel that kept me running was love.I spent the next 10 years exploring the boundaries of growth and depths of grief, achieving things I never believed possible while holding tight to my life preservers (family, friends, colleages, community of support) through the tidal waves of loss. A more resilient, intuitive, and empathetic woman emerged to lift and inspire others.Writing and self-publishing a book on grief and creating a downsizing + storytelling method to heal through emotionally overwhelming projects are just part of the personal experiences I offer through Golden Guidance that compliment my professional background.Core Services: Transition & Legacy Support:Legacy Organizing + Legacy Books;\"Aging in Place\" assessments; Certified Organizational Specialist Services.
