   I have worked at this smart media startup since its very early days and am a proud member of the launch team. My current responsibilities include writing, voicing and producing news stories. I am also a podcast producer for a variety of clients and produce video content, as well as edit content for our various platforms. I have experience as a newsroom team lead for a science-based news outlet. Previous daily assignments have included researching, writing, voicing and producing news stories. I was in court for ex-U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert\'s arraignment and was there for Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel\'s election night runoff win. I have done on-the-scene reports for a number of protests, rallies and city council meetings.I was named Best Reporter in the 2015 Illinois Associated Press Broadcasters Association Contest.I was also nominated for a 2014 Peter Lisagor Award by the Chicago Headline Club for my coverage of the Jackie Robinson West All Star\'s U.S. Little League championship win. I am proficient in audio editing programs such as NewsBoss and Logic Pro X.
