S.E.R.V. Niagara\'s mission is to S.E.R.V- Support, Empower, Respect, Veterans and their families. Before veterans in need can fully benefit from therapeutic programs, skills training, or any other service, they have to have their basic human needs of food, clothing, and shelter met. The \"Basic Human Needs\" build a strong foundation of trust upon which other services can lead our veteran heroes onto the path of self-sufficiency.In March of 2014, S.E.R.V. Niagara purchased two properties that were to become Niagara County\'s first Veteran-exclusive transitional AND permanent housing properties. After only six months, S.E.R.V. Niagara, with the overwhelming support of countless volunteers, donors and community involvement, simultaneously gutted, completely renovated and furnished the two buildings. The renovations and neighborhood beautifications were completed on September 11, 2014 and S.E.R.V. Niagara opened its doors to the first Veteran residents! S.E.R.V. Niagara\'s housing solutions not only provide much needed quality services and programs known to prevent relapse and homelessness, but we render them in a humane, compassionate, and dignified manner. In addition to housing solutions, S.E.R.V. Niagara and its parent organization Kids Breaking Free Foundation, Inc (Kids BFF) provides fun therapeutic activities for kids, as well as support and resources for families, all who are affected by a loved one\'s drug and alcohol addiction. With the supportive efforts of Veteran Mentors, community partnerships, therapeutic programs, and spiritual enrichment, we work cooperatively to help restore the confidence that is necessary to overcome public and personal barriers, and improve developmental, social and overall life skills.
