About Jennifer Novelli

Mission-driven, results-oriented, and people-focused nonprofit professional working with our team at Global Links to build financial support, strategic partnerships, and community engagement to improve health locally and globally, and to communicate effectively about why it matters. Currently, I am focusing on foundation support, fundraising strategy, disaster response protocols, and internal/external communications. Previously, I led the development/execution of our fundraising and communications plans while focusing on engaging supporters. In addition to managing our communication and development team members and building our first development team spanning departments and roles, I cultivated individual gifts and foundation support. As a team, we are guided by our principles of respect for all people, respect for the environment, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. As the former executive director for the non-profit Building New Hope, I transitioned the organization from a founder-led one while working in international development and sustainability, primarily in Central America on education projects and a fair trade partnership with a coffee farming community to improve their livelihoods and to preserve the environment through supporting bird-friendly coffee. I was responsible for operations, program management, human resources, communications, marketing, fundraising, board cultivation, volunteer management, strategic planning, outreach and events, fair trade coffee sales, brewing coffee, and more! Previously, I worked for 10 years in the field of international development and medical aid in several programmatic and outreach management positions at Global Links, and I worked in international education at the higher education level at the University of Pittsburgh for close to 6 years.I strongly believe in giving back and active citizenship. I volunteer with the Parent Teacher Association at the Copenhagen International School and on the Council for Mission Outreach/Communications for the International Church of Copenhagen. Previously, I volunteered as an environmental educator/Volunteer Naturalist, as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader, a youth x-c ski coach with the Laurel Highland Yellowjackets (deepened my skills at a coaching course in Canada in 2019), parent booster for a high school football (soccer) team, and with my faith community.
