Worked as the Immigration Lawyer for Reel FX Creative Studios. I have been solely responsible for the work permits of all of the Temporary Foreign Workers (Over 90 successful applications)- Applying Labour Market Impact Assessments in the Global Talent Stream- Applying for work permits in the NAFTA, LMIA, holders of CSQ (A75), C14 and Young Professionals category- Re-negotiating the Labour Market Benefits Plan- Applying for work permit renewals, CSQ and Permanent Residence for existing employees- Working with HR and recruiting to assess immigration timelines, and production needs- Adapting to COVID-19 related immigration guidelines and restrictions- Communicating with new recruits to obtain the required information and documentation for their work permits- Keeping track of work permits and expiration dates.Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion- Help create the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion committee- Initiate the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion initiative by contacting third-party organizations, organize discussions internally and organize events- Survey employees to evaluate their feelings of belonging and inclusion- Organize trainings and webinars regarding Bias, Anti-Racism and Truth and Reconciliation.
