About Jennifer Morales
Facilitator. Storyteller. Culture Builder. I\'m a trained Restorative Practices circle facilitator and work with groups of people in schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods to move through conflict, build empathy, create culture, and restore community. I can help your organization develop a healthier and more resilient culture, tell your organization\'s story, and shape narratives that position your work for success. My first book, Meet Me Halfway (UW Press, 2015), a short story collection about life in hyper-segregated Milwaukee, was Wisconsin Center for the Book’s 2016 “Book of the Year.” Reviewers called it “a compelling debut” (Booklist) by “an impressively gifted writer” (Midwest Book Review). I work with writers to advance their works-in-progress through my WRITEHOLD project and I build literary community in rural Wisconsin, as a member of the board of the Driftless Writing Center.
