ABOUT JENNIFER MCNALLEY

Amazing, outgoing, positive team player ready to succeed in a new role living in BC! I\'ve been in the field of Occupational Health and Safety for over ten years. It is a constantly changing career with new challenges with every situation. People and companies rely on our ability to make quick level headed decisions, because we work hard to prevent tragedies but when they do happen we need to be prepared to handle the consequences. Throughout my career i have been active in all aspects of managing a health and safety program. Starting from creating and implementing strong orientations to full program evaluation. Whether conducting hazard assessments or ensuring inspections are completed, a team based approach works when the right people are involved in the process. Communication is a key element in a health safety program, so it must be clear, concise and consistent. From the email written to the delivery of the company safety meeting, all types of safety communication must be done with the audience in mind. Training is another aspect of a health & safety program that should be given some priority. Retention of workers is an issue but companies that incorporate effective training programs have fewer turnovers. Reducing incidents and increasing quality and production by providing quality initial and on-going job specific training. Then having the tools to measure the effectiveness of the training to ensure objectives are met and that competency is being evaluated. I am looking for an opportunity to use my skills as a safety professional and work towards helping a company meet their safety goals. I am an excellent communicator and trainer with a strong passion for safety. I have strong knowledge in hygiene, auditing and training development.
