This industry is evolving and continues to change and as reporters we must adapt.Reporters are always on the move and social media keeps us readily available 24/7 - reporters don\'t have set hours and we have to be ready when the story breaks- write stories and features to a daily deadline- come up with different story ideas and create our own assignments- post breaking news and editorial content online (nugget.ca), Facebook and Twitter- shoot and edit photos- write headlines- help manage nugget.ca website, Facebook and Twitter sites, as well, moderate discussion- use social networking sites to share stories and find sources- send breaking news stories to Postmedia to allow all newspapers within the chain access to the information - was asked to appear as a guest on The Agenda to discuss provincial politics, as well as, CBC Power and Politics. I have a monthly show on Cogeco with Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli to discuss what\'s happening in Queen\'s Park.
