About Jennifer Gray
I represent developers, businesses, franchises, religious institutions and individuals before municipal boards throughout the Hudson Valley. I understand the importance of getting shovels in the ground. I also understand the importance of processing development applications in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, including the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA). This builds a strong, defensible record to better safeguard approvals from litigation lodged by project opponents. From securing permits and entitlements for a $1 billion state-of-the-art natural gas fired power plant, to obtaining variances to ensure my client can build a backyard deck, I efficiently navigate the approval process to achieve results. My experience includes representation of municipal boards, such as planning boards and zoning boards of appeal. In that role, I provide advice to boards and municipal staff for the processing of applications in compliance with all applicable requirements. Representation of both private sector and municipal clients affords me a unique perspective in reviewing and advancing land use applications. Presenting applications to municipal boards requires, among other things, knowledge of the applicable standards by which the board will review the application, the ability to present in a way that will be most receptive to the municipality, knowledge of my client’s available options, and the ability to handle public controversy, if necessary. If you are looking for an attorney to advance your development proposal and navigate your application through the approval process, please contact me to find out how we can work together to get shovels in the ground.
