ABOUT JENNIFER GLASER
I’ve been teaching business courses at Silver Creek HS for over 35 years. With the encouragement of Dr Jack Morgan at the University of Louisville, we started incorporating entrepreneurship into student learning in 1995 featuring a Panel of Entrepreneurs program that is now 26 years strong ( & each year showcasing our successful grads & also The Cookie Lady—Elizabeth Kizito). This led to receiving Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year for Supporter of Entrepreneurship in 1997 (same year as Kent Taylor of Texas Roudhouse received the award for Emerging Entrepreneur). We started a student operated bank in our school in 2002 followed by a school supply store & a coffee shop. We became an official NAF Academy of Finance in 2005 & expanded to a Academy Program in the areas of BioMed, Engineering, Computer Science, Communications & the Arts. We’ve completed two versions of Kentuckianaopoly: a board game created by our local students featuring locally founded companies & raising $30K for scholarships. I’ve been married for over 35 years & have four children (3 of which are in education).
