Administer new hire orientations, give in-depth detail of company benefits and policies, and verify work authorization through government I-9’s. • Process unemployment claims, with care and attention to detail. Including all materials that may be useful to the claims office. • Maintain personnel and confidential files for 450+ employees. • Administrative work within HRIS system. Imputing compensation changes/promotions, terminating employees, updating files, answering employee questions, etc. • Run reports for plant managers weekly/monthly to track overtime, headcounts, and contractor hours. • Spearhead both the activities committee and health committee. Planning and executing numerous events monthly, for employees, to boost engagement, fuel a positive working environment, and maintain a strong company culture. • Process life insurance and disability claims, and track employees who are out of work for Workers Comp, FMLA, STD, or LTD. • Work directly with over 12 insurance companies and benefits vendors to process bills and act as a liaison between our employees, retirees, and pension holders, and our various insurance and retirement companies. • Do the calculations and upload the contributions for our Retiree Medical Account (also known as HRA)
