About Jennifer Currera

Diligent, knowledgeable, driven, and proactive individual. I have gained a glowing reputation amongst scientists, managers, and colleagues. I have won multiple awards from previous employers for hitting company metrics. I\'ve been working in the pharmaceutical industry for four and a half years, and I am proud and grateful for the experience and opportunities I\'ve had to grow professionally. I\'ve worked in GMP environments as well as managing inventory in lab spaces, chemical / component warehouses as well as freezer farms. In these roles I have been required to receive in material with proper documentation and store material in the proper conditions using SDS and COAS. I’ve also previously performed designated sampling duties when required, following completion I would enter performed samples into Comet and CLS. My current and previous positions were contracting roles to support GSK, and I always continue to deliver excellent results for our clients and work in collaboration with other contracting companies on site. Additionally, I have presented chemical audit findings to GSK stakeholders and performed site wide audits. I also am currently cross training in PerkinElmers purchasing department.

   Roles and Responsibilities: Provide safe and rapid delivery of critical fine chemical building blocks for Research and Development teams sitewide. Manage and receive in chemicals using ICARUS, handle and transport hazardous chemicals while assuring to follow proper safety protocol and wearing proper PPE in lab spaces, verify and upload SDS documents in association with chemical inventory, provide excellent communication with scientific staff and provide metrics to management, enter scientific data into inventory management systems with speed and accuracy, use attention to detail and organizational skills to assure all tasks are done correctly, deliver and receive in multiple shipments throughout the day and manage time accordingly to assure excellent customer service, use helium application to determine a chemicals pKa and pKb, use Workday to complete tasks as needed.
