ABOUT JENNIFER CRANE
My dream of owning a business came to fruition in 2018 when my business partner and I purchased the Robstan Group and renamed it Crane Martin, LLC. I began working at Robstan Group in 2002 as a membership coordinator and had no idea I would ultimately own the business 16 years later. I did however recognize that a management firm, a company that manages other companies, was a tremendous training ground for learning about business. I seized every opportunity to learn new skills, take on more responsibility and be a resource to my collogues and the volunteers/members of the nonprofits we managed. I gained skills in finance, board governance, marketing/branding, event planning, membership relations and more. I took on operational and HR responsibilities for the association management firm, which helped tremendously during the transition to ownership. We are proud to say our clients not only trust us, but depend on our expertise, creativity and diligence to lead them into the future. We understand that we are partners with our clients and enjoy the collaborative nature of working with nonprofits and their volunteers. Prior to working at Robstan Group, I worked in property management for several years. By the age of 21 I was a property manager that included a myriad of duties including managing operations, the tenants, and the leasing and maintenance teams. I also worked for property developers for a couple of years handling the bookkeeping for their construction projects and managing the tenants in their existing properties. I tried being a paralegal for a short time, but shortly realized I wasn\'t learning any skills to get me to my goal of owning my own business.
