About Jennifer Coghlan
I’m passionate about helping others find calm in their homes and lives through organization. I am a strong believer that people are happier, more content and better able to focus on what matters most when the spaces around them are organized. As an organizing consultant, I help clients simplify and organize physical spaces in their homes and offices. As part of every project, I share techniques and strategies to empower them to stay organized long after the project has ended. My goal is to help reduce my client’s stress and create a calm environment for them to thrive. Steps we take include: • Strategizing to identify the best use and layout of their spaces • Designing optimal workflows for functions performed in each space • Deciding which items to keep and facilitate disposal of the rest • Assigning a “home” for all items • Setting up organization systems that are easy to maintain Before beginning my dream job as a professional organizer, I was fortunate to have a satisfying career in sales with Penguin Random House and Eastman Kodak Company. I was able to travel and establish fulfilling relationships with my customers and co-workers. I’ve always enjoyed working with people and love a good challenge. One of the biggest challenges for me was juggling work, travel, and being a mom and wife, while trying to maintain an organized, inviting home. It’s not easy to do it all, and I found that whenever the stress got to me, I’d either sit down and re-write my TO DO list or organize my closet. I realized I was happiest when I felt organized. The transition from sales to organizing seemed like a natural fit for me. I truly believe organization relieves stress and increases happiness. I enjoy working with professionals who don’t have time to organize their home offices, closets and schedules. I love helping busy families organize spaces they can enjoy and develop household systems that work for them. I’ve also learned that I have a soft spot for Seniors, helping them deal with years of accumulated keepsakes, disorganized spaces, and upcoming life changes. Seeing a client walk into a room that has been transformed is the best reward I can receive at the end of each day.
