I’m Jen Borror, owner and illustrator behind Hoot Design Studio, based in York, Pennsylvania. I specialize in custom illustration and packaging design for brands that value authenticity, craftsmanship, and personality.My work is rooted in the belief that the strongest brands are built by hand—not shortcuts. Every project starts with thoughtful, hand-drawn artwork designed to tell a story and create a lasting connection.    I’m a firm believer in creativity starting from within. Whether it’s a logo design, print advertising or a craft beer label - the vision starts with an idea. A creative thought that is put on paper first. The computer is merely a tool to polish and finesse the concept. Good design isn’t a one-click process. It isn’t an app, and it’s certainly not a template. It’s a custom and unique ability and talent. “To be a good graphic designer you must first be able to pick up a pencil and draw.”I’m passionate about ink illustrating. My process begins with a pencil sketch, hand inked lines and ends with digital coloring in Photoshop or Procreate. Then, I pair my hand-crafted work with a seasoned graphic design background to create dynamic and eye-catching layouts and design.
