My favorite thing is watching dreams come true. I will watch every award show, sports draft, and TikTok video of dream school admissions. It\'s no real surprise, then, that in my professional life I lean into roles that make other people successful. Here\'s a snapshot (because everyone loves bullet points!)- I built a two-year curriculum on college prep and life skills (From scratch! Go me!) for middle school students. 80% of the students who took the course went on to obtain a college degree- As an English teacher, I hit accreditation status every. single. year- and four times, 100% of my urban, high-poverty students passed proficient or advanced on state assessments- My first year as the school-level department lead, our team was the ONLY team in the city that was fully accredited- As a new teacher mentor and coach, 100% of my cohort stayed in the profession (and district!) for three years and counting! I couldn\'t achieve any of that if my drive wasn\'t for the TEAM to succeed most. I only win when they do. And every, single, time - the dream came true. I left education for the reasons most people do. But my drive to make others successful remains paramount. In my next role, I\'ll still be looking to make dreams come true.
