ABOUT JENNIFER A. ZELNICK
I am proud to lead and support projects geared toward understanding and ameliorating California\'s justice gap. Prior to joining the State Bar, I was an anthropologist by training. I conducted multi-year ethnographic research on immigration (specifically U.S. law, refugees, criminalization, incarceration, and deportation) in Cambodia and the United States. I am committed to rigorous, community based participatory research in service of social justice. I also continue to volunteer as an expert witness, pardon letter writer, amicus curiae, and policy advocate as a preeminent expert of U.S-Cambodian deportation.
