ABOUT JENNIE PATTERSON
With over six years of experience in public health and policy, I am passionate about advancing the well-being and rights of the Black community through public policy, research, and advocacy. As Program Manager for the National Racial Equity Initiative for Social Justice (NREI) at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, I am responsible for the day-to-day planning, coordination, and implementation of NREI and the Center for Policy Analysis and Research (CPAR) programming. Before joining CBCF, I served as the Policy & Advocacy Manager at the National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI). In this capacity, I played a crucial role in advancing NBCDI\'s policy and advocacy work to realize the organization\'s mission of creating an equitable and just future for Black children and families. I managed NBCDI\'s Policy Fellowship program as well as national advocacy campaigns focused on Prenatal-3 and Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) care. I hold a Master of Public Policy degree from Georgetown University and Bachelor\'s degrees in International Studies and Spanish from Spelman College.
