ABOUT JENNI CARVALHO-SALEMI
Committed to evidence-based nutrition research, I am the founder and managing director of SAGE Research Group, a clinical and scientific affairs consultancy serving non-profit organizations, healthcare professionals, and innovative brands. A registered dietitian nutritionist and board-certified specialist in pediatric nutrition by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, I previously served as a Senior Dietitian at Texas Children’s Hospital, a US News & World Report top-rated facility, where I was fortunate to have worked alongside remarkable colleagues and mentors which led to opportunities for research and service recognitions such as the ASPEN Abstract of Distinction Award, ASPEN Best of Clinical Nutrition Week (Pediatrics) Award, and the Academy PNPG Published Research Award. I am a proud champion of professional development as exemplified by frequent service on clinical practice and advisory committees for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Academy), the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN), and the National Kidney Foundation (NKF). My clinical research interests include pediatric malnutrition, food insecurity, and the role of the gut microbiome in maternal and child health.
