ABOUT JENNI SHOOK

If you were to ask me what my passions were in life, it would be simple: helping others and the mortgage industry. I know that sounds like an odd combination, so let me explain. I discovered my passion for helping others at a young age through volunteering with many different organizations. Whether I was building fences in Tennessee, organizing a Special Olympics in Morocco, or providing counseling at a local woman’s shelter; I loved it. Through giving and helping others, I\'ve learned so much about myself and what really matters in life. making a difference in someone else\'s life. Shortly after graduating from Kennesaw State University I received a call from a friend working at a mortgage company in Atlanta. There was a new position opening they thought would be perfect for me so I decided to take her up on the opportunity. This is where I discovered my second passion, mortgages. I started in the industry in an HR position, however was so intrigued by it that I wanted to learn as much as possible. I transitioned into the training department and ultimately became the Director of Training and Development. I was responsible for training all of the Loan Officers and quickly became their go-to for programs, guidelines, and navigating their the process. It was in this role that I realized what I wanted to do; use all of the knowledge that I had amassed to help customers, not just Loan Officers. As a Loan Officer I am able to align both of my passions; whether you are helping someone get the keys to their dream home or helping them achieve their financial goals by refinancing, you were making a positive impact in their life. I can’t wait for the opportunity to work side by side with you and show you what a difference it makes to work with someone that understands the \"Why\" behind what I do.
