As senior legal counsel for the RTAA, I serve as a key advisor to the President/CEO and Board, implementing organizational goals and shaping legal policy across all divisions. I lead and oversee the RTAA’s legal operations, including the retention and management of outside counsel, and provide strategic guidance on complex legal matters, investigations, and regulatory compliance. I play a central role in negotiating and drafting leases, permits, and contracts with airlines, the FAA, and other airport tenants, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and local requirements. I also support real estate acquisitions by negotiating terms and preparing closing documentation. My work ensures full compliance with Nevada’s Open Meeting Law and supports Board governance through legal advisement and orientation of new members. In collaboration with the Commercial Division, I help establish operational rules and regulations governing airport facilities and services. I also direct the RTAA’s grant strategy, overseeing project compliance and working with government affairs professionals to advance legislative initiatives that enhance funding opportunities. My role is deeply integrated with community engagement, involving coordination with elected officials, business leaders, and professional associations to advance the RTAA’s mission and strategic objectives.
